Our Weekend

After traveling & other business since May, we finally had a weekend at home. It’s not that we don’t love having full weekends, but sometimes, your heart just needs a little time to refresh. Our friend Chelsey flew in from Colorado on Friday, and we spent the weekend adventuring around Oregon. Friday afternoon, we had a long lunch at Vita Cafe (my favorite), then went berry picking over at Sauvie Island. The berries are amazing right now! Friday night, we enjoyed dinner & drinks at The Bye & Bye, and then woke up bright & early for the Saturday Morning Market, Voodoo Donuts, and the coast. It was a full day. Sunday morning, I made a big breakfast before Chels headed out with another friend. Jimmy and I moved the majority of our boxes to the new place, and got to see that the owners decided to ‘finish’ the basement. It’s not totally finished, but enough that we now have a third bedroom, and plenty of nice space for our guests. I’m so stoked about it!! On Monday, I picked Chels up from her friend’s and we enjoyed lunch at Jam on Hawthorne, and ice cream at Salt & Straw. Then, it was time for the airport. We had such an amazing time, and it was so so nice to catch up after 5 years or so. We first met 10 years ago when we were college freshman roommates … OH MY GOODNESS! Time goes so fast. Anyway … enjoy a few peeks at our weekend out and about.
