Our New Year’s Day Gorge Adventure

Just like in 2012 & 2013, we headed out to the Columbia River Gorge to celebrate the new year. This was definitely the best year, weather wise. Just look at that sunshine!

Since I’m 482 months pregnant, we opted to do a more touristy day in the Gorge. We stopped at the Women’s Forum overlook, Vista House, Latourell Falls, and Multnomah Falls. We soaked up the sunshine, ate crappy fast food in the car, got stared at (again, me being 482 months pregnant is quite the sight), got hot coffee and fudge, and drove home with the most beautiful sky in front of us. It was such a beautiful day, and I’m really happy we were able to make it out this year. Next year, we’ll have a nearly-one-year-old in tow. Yikes!

I hope you all had a beautiful new year, and that your 2014 is starting off in an amazing way.

Things are going to be kind of quiet around here over the next week or so. As we approach our due date, I find myself shying away from social media … I’ve had a lot of “is that baby here yet?” questions, and it’s already driving me slightly batty. I promise, s/he’ll be here this month, and we’ll be soooo excited to share when s/he arrives. Until then, I’m checking out!
