Yesterday, Alba pointed to a dusty, old tricycle and signed for “bike”. It was the first time she noticed the rusty thing in our garden shed. I pulled it out, blew off some of the dust, and asked if she wanted to ride.
An exuberant yes was said by how quickly she shook her head.
Her legs were way too short to reach the pedals, but she grabbed the handlebars, and prepared for her maiden voyage.
As we zipped around the driveway, she was so full of light. My little love was laughing as the tricycle squeaked around.
It was just a little moment … maybe 10 minutes in the whole day … but it was so big. SHE is so big.
